Kathy brings a relaxed and informative style to teaching. All of the classes have had fun and friendly people; come and have a good time with the greatest of card games!
All classes discuss both bidding and card play, and include plenty of time for questions, play, and conversation.
Each class is offered in 6 weekly sessions based on Audrey Grant's new series. They are taught by Kathy Venton, an ACBL certified director and teacher. $72 for the lessons includes a free book by Audrey. Pre-registration is required for all lessons; call Kathy at (707) 591-5015.
- Absolute Beginner Bridge
Learn to play the world's greatest card game, exercise your mind, and meet interesting and intelligent people [like you]. No experience necessary!
- Defense
Learn opening leads, third hand play, rule of 11, second hand play, and planning out the defense. We go over basic defensive principles and play lots of hand demonstrating how to think about taking the maximum number of tricks when defending. This class will begin Thursday, March 1 through April 5th. Need 12 for class to be held.
No book, class $60.00.
- Competitive Bidding
Bid and play on more hands! A class both for those who want to compete, and for those who want to find their best contract in competition. Next class begins Thursday, April 19th through May 24th.
